Should you choose Meeto or GoTo Meeting?

Choose Meeto if

  • Your free calls have more than 3 people or run past 40 minutes.
  • Guests should join from any browser, without the organizer switching anything on.
  • You want cloud recording and AI summaries on a $6.99 plan.
  • Clients book a time on your own booking page.

Choose GoTo Meeting if

  • Meetings regularly have more than 25 people (Professional includes 150).
  • You need end-to-end encryption for small, sensitive meetings.
  • Your company already uses GoTo and its administration.

What to check before moving from GoTo Meeting

  1. Meeting size. Meeto holds 10 people on Free and 25 on Pro and Team. If your largest calls are bigger, stay with GoTo for those.
  2. The guest path. Open a Meeto link in a private browser window and on a phone with no account signed in; that is what your attendees will see. Read how it works in browser calls without downloads.
  3. Recording and notes. On Pro, start a recording on a test call. Recording also starts the AI summary, and every participant is shown a notice and sees an indicator while it runs.
  4. Phones. Meeto has no phone dial-in. If attendees join by phone number today, plan for them to use the browser or the iOS or Android app.

What Meeto does not do

Meeto is built for small meetings that start from a link, a booking page or a website button. Paid plans hold up to 25 participants, and Meeto does not offer:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Webinars or livestreaming
  • Breakout rooms
  • Polls
  • Phone dial-in
  • SSO / SAML single sign-on
  • Live captions over the call video

If any of these is a requirement, test it in GoTo Meeting or another tool first. The full Meeto limits are on the pricing page and the security overview.
