Meeto vs TidyCal

Meeto vs TidyCal: free booking pages, with or without the video call

TidyCal is the stronger booking tool on a budget: its free plan has unlimited booking types, recurring sessions and payments at booking, and lifetime plans start at a one-time $29. But it has no video call of its own. Meeto's booking page creates a browser meeting for every booking; Meeto Pro, $6.99 a month, adds unlimited call length, recording and AI summaries. Choose by what matters more: payments or the call.

Should you choose Meeto or TidyCal?

Choose Meeto if

  • You want the video call without a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams account behind it.
  • You want each booked call recorded, transcribed and summarised in the same account.
  • You want booking limits, buffers and minimum notice on the free plan.
  • You also need instant rooms without an account and a call button on your website.

Choose TidyCal if

  • You take payment when clients book, or sell packages of sessions.
  • You need many booking types for free, or clients who book recurring sessions themselves.
  • You prefer to pay once for a lifetime plan.
  • Your calls already run on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams.

Which one fits the sessions you sell?

  • Paid one-off sessions (coaching, lessons, consultations paid in advance): TidyCal, because Meeto does not take payment at booking. Pair it with any video tool you trust.
  • Free first calls and discovery calls: Meeto. The client picks a time on your booking page and joins a browser call from the confirmation email, with nothing else to set up.
  • A weekly session with the same client: in TidyCal the client books the series; in Meeto you schedule a repeating meeting, invite the client by email, and they get a reminder before each date.
  • Sessions you need to review later: Meeto Pro records the call and writes a transcript and AI summary, kept on the meeting page.

On Meeto Free each call stops at 60 minutes once two people are in it. For sessions that run longer, see Meeto Pro.

What Meeto does not do

Meeto is built for small meetings that start from a link, a booking page or a website button. Paid plans hold up to 25 participants, and Meeto does not offer:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Webinars or livestreaming
  • Breakout rooms
  • Polls
  • Phone dial-in
  • SSO / SAML single sign-on
  • Live captions over the call video

If any of these is a requirement, test it in TidyCal or another tool first. The full Meeto limits are on the pricing page and the security overview.

Frequently asked questions

Does TidyCal have video calls?

No, TidyCal is a booking tool. Paid plans create Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams links automatically, and every plan, the free one included, can use a fixed link to your own meeting room. Meeto creates its own browser meeting for every booking.

Is TidyCal free?

Yes. The free plan includes unlimited bookings and booking types, payment at booking through Stripe and PayPal (with a 1% platform fee), recurring and group bookings, reminders and 1 calendar connection. Automatic Zoom, Meet or Teams links and booking limits need a paid plan.

Can I use a Meeto room as my TidyCal meeting link?

Yes. TidyCal's «Custom video link» location takes your own meeting URL on every plan, so you can paste the link of a scheduled Meeto meeting, which stays reusable. Join first so guests are let straight in from the browser, without an account. Every booking then shares that one room; for a separate meeting per booking, with its own recording and summary, use Meeto's booking page.

Which is cheaper over a year?

TidyCal Pro is $99 a year, and its lifetime plans are a one-time payment. Meeto Pro is $69 a year. The two buy different things: TidyCal's money goes to scheduling and payments, Meeto's to the call itself, with no time limit, 25 participants, recording and AI summaries.
