Start Meeto video calls from Telegram
Connect the Meeto bot in a private Telegram chat, run /call to create a browser meeting and share the Join button with a group. Inline mode lets you prepare a link in any conversation without adding the bot to that chat.

Meeto can keep the bot response in English or Russian based on the sender's Telegram language code. Other languages use the English bot copy.
Connect the bot without exposing your account link
- Open the active bot. Use the Telegram button on Meeto integrations and press Start in a private chat.
- Connect meeto.me. Press Connect meeto.me account, finish sign-in and confirmation in the browser, then return to Telegram. If the link expires, send
/linkto request a new one. - Run a private test. Send
/call Test roomand open the returned Join call button. Then forward or share the resulting link with a test group.
The connection button is intentionally returned from the private bot chat. For inline users who have not connected an account, Meeto returns a prompt to open the bot privately instead of placing the account-link URL in a shared chat.
Commands you can use

Scheduling validates the time and title before creating the meeting. If the linked profile has no usable time zone, the bot labels the returned time as UTC.
Share a link from any Telegram chat
Enable inline mode
The configured bot must have inline mode enabled in Telegram. If no result appears after typing @bot, the bot operator should check the BotFather inline setting and the active bot shown on the Meeto integrations page.
Choose before sending
Type @bot and an optional title, choose Start a Meeto call from the results, then send the result. Nothing is posted to the chat while you are only typing.
Connect first
An unlinked user receives a result that points back to the private bot chat. Connect there, then repeat the inline query.
When a Telegram command does not work
The bot asks me to connect again
Open the connection button in the private bot chat, make sure you finish the browser confirmation, and send /call again. A bot reinstall or account change can require a fresh link.
Scheduling rejects the time
Use HH:MM, include a title, and choose a future time. Add YYYY-MM-DD when you are scheduling another date.
Inline results do not appear
Use the exact active bot username from Integrations. If the username changed or inline mode was disabled, the bot operator must refresh the Telegram setup.
Too many calls in a row
Meeto rate-limits repeated call creation for one account. Wait briefly and try again; the existing room link remains usable if a room was already created.
Frequently asked questions
How do I start a Meeto call from Telegram?
Open the active Meeto bot, press Start, connect your meeto.me account in the private bot chat, then send /call. Add text after /call for a title, such as /call Weekly sync. The bot replies with a join button and a browser link.
Can I share a Meeto link in a Telegram group?
Yes. Use /call in a chat where the bot can receive the command, or use inline mode by typing @ followed by the bot username in any chat. Inline mode creates a result you choose and send; the bot does not post a link until you select it.
Why must I connect a meeto.me account?
The account link gives Meeto an owner for the room and for scheduled meetings. It is completed from the private bot chat so a connection URL is not exposed in a shared group conversation.
What time zone does Telegram scheduling use?
A linked Telegram profile can carry a time zone. If no usable time zone is available, Meeto schedules in UTC and tells you so in the bot response. Use /schedule [YYYY-MM-DD] HH:MM Title and choose a future time.
